RES Hospitality is a small Yorkshire based management & consultancy business offering expert in person or remote support across a wide range of Hospitality outlets in need or looking to take the next step.

Dave

A Management graduate and seasoned hospitality professional with 16 years in the business spanning through pub, cafe, farmshop & hotel management.

Throughout his career family owned establishments has been his bread and butter, corporate hospitality focussing entirely on labour and margins is not all he cares about however he does have experience with this too.

Success stories:

Ripley Castle

Transformed the service and standards of the pub and hotel, built a fantastic team and made improvements in every area laying the foundations for continued success. Ran countless successful weddings ranging from general public to celebrities and royalty culminating in the highest revenue in the castle’s history.

Mackenzies Farm Shop and Cafe

Relaunched the cafe almost from scratch after covid, a brand new team, new decor, new systems, new menu and smashed all targets by a long way and had to triple the size of the cafe. Managed the farmshop through it’s best ever quarter and organised and handled the businesses covid time online shopping and home delivery.

Square and Compass

Took a struggling but renowned food led business and built a fantastic team through effective recruitment and training, overhauled booking and till systems to make business smoother and increase revenue by 30% whilst maintaining cost controls and high standards, Most notably expanding Sunday service to take up to 750 covers.

Gamekeepers Inn

Built a whole new team through effective recruitment and training, overhauled systems and procedures to create smoother operations and focus on building business. Input several intitiatives increasing revenue in both bedrooms and F&B.

Jakeline

A Business Studies Graduate and working towards an AAT accountant qualifications Masters. Has many years of experience front of house and in a busy reservations team so fully understands both sides of the business.

Family owned small to medium venues with high volume and high quality service is where her experience lies but her best skills are in getting things organised and has a natural attention to detail. Alongside this Jakeline has a good knowledge of accounts, business taxes and is learning bookkeeping all of which she is hoping to use to help others going forward.

Alongside studying towards a masters Jakeline managed to earn a promotion meaning she runs her own team in credit control showing a great degree of understanding and high level of organisation and communication.
